Philly Cheesesteak Pasta
Ingredients
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1.25 cup pasta (any shape, approx 100g)
  • 1 tsp olive oil (or spray)
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 cup lean ground beef or sirloin (94% lean)
  • 1 tsp salt, pepper, paprika and chili powder
  • 1/4 cup light cream cheese (95% light)
  • 1/3 cup fat free greek yogurt, plain
  • 1/3 cup light mozzarella cheese
  • cilantro (optional) to taste
  • chili flakes to taste (optional)
Instructions

    Boil water with salt and cook pasta according to package instructions.

    In a separate pan, heat olive oil and sauté chopped onion, green bell pepper, and sliced mushrooms.

    Add minced garlic and lean ground beef to the pan, cooking until beef is browned.

    Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili powder.

    Stir in light cream cheese, greek yogurt, and mozzarella cheese until melted and creamy.

    Add pasta water to the mixture and combine with cooked pasta.

    Serve with optional toppings of cilantro and chili flakes.
